Instructions & Guidelines for Kids Workshop 7.0 on 21.06.2025 (Saturday)
- Kids are extremely enthusiastic for the workshop and together we can make it memorable
- Workshop will be tomorrow from 11:00-16:00 Hrs
- we are expecting around 45 kids for the workshop so please try to be on time
- Whole workshop will be divided in three parts: Learning through working Model/Games, Interactive activities, decoration of Jagannath Yatra Rath and Ganapati Singhasana
Instructions for Parents
- Please be on time
- Parents are not allowed in workshop hall
- They can either drop their kids and come for pick up or can stay downstairs with other parents
- Although we have organized and Pizza for Lunch still day would be long so please give a small snacks box for your child and some water or juice
- If your situation allows or you wish you can bring juice and some snacks for other kids and volunteers as well.
- You can bring home made cookies, cakes, muffins, sandwiches, chips and other snacks of your choice
- We need some disposables (plates and cups) for snacks and drinks distribution
- All snacks should be without eggs, onion and garlic in Mandir premises.
- In case your kid is very small, you can stay with him in workshop hall but avoid giving suggestions and requesting us to give focus to your child
- For us all kids are equal
- If you have Glue Gun, Fevicol, scissors please bring it for decoration.
- If possible please share what you are planning to bring
Instructions for Kids
- Please have good breakfast before coming to Mandir for Workshop
- Bring your colors, bastel set and other decoration items you wish
- Please bring an additional t-shirt and a towel in case your clothes get wet
Instructions for Volunteers
- Please try to be there between 10:00-10:30 Hrs.
- We need 3-4 Volunteers for tea preparation and snacks distribution
- We need 1-2 volunteers with cars in case we need to buy things for decoration or bring any kid to home in case of emergency
- Few volunteers are also needed for winding up
- We have organized a 6m ladder for painting our Mandir’s Signboard. We need few volunteers for that as well.
+++ Kids Workshop 7.0 (21.06.2025): Summary +++
We had another (7th) incredible, memorable, sucessful and full of learning & fun in kids workshop. For the first time we had around 50 kids in our workshop.
As you all are aware nothing was charged from anyone as this is from our Mandir Family and our Ramji. Everything was managed on volunteer basis and many people came foarward and joined our hands.
Learning:
- With the help of a working model we have learned about our mother earth, sun and moon
- Learned about Longest day, shortest day and day with equal day and night
- Hindi Months, their names and six seasons
- Concept of Adhik Maas
- Why we have twelve months
Games: - We have played games linked to our hindi months and their sequence
- Other games have helped kids to discuss about ShriRamcharitmanas, Bhagwad Gita, Shloks and other hinduism concepts
- Few games and activities for small kids
Decoration, Drawing and Paining: - Kids in different groups have done drawing
- They have decorated Shri Jagannath Yatra Rath, Thorn for Ganapati Ji and Paalki for Sant Gyaneshwar Ji
Snacks: - With the cooperation of many many family members kids had an incredible variety of snacks, juices and sweets
- Kids all time favourite Pizza Margarita is slowly becoming an integral part of our kids workshop
Lessons Learned: - Kids are very intelligent, energetic and have hunger to learn
- We have to design more engaging activities to channelize their energy
- we must increase Volunteer participation with more dedicated volunteers for each kids group
